After playing countless hours of online games and dying frequently I have become increasingly able to rationalize negativity.

As a byproduct of this as well as reading some resources on positive thinking I have been even more positive in daily life, almost always seeing the silver lining in situations.

2. I’m good at playing guitar, able to play most songs that I choose to learn with relative ease.

I intend to improve my guitar playing skills.
Target: To improve guitar playing to be able to play any song I choose to learn.
Action Points:
· Play more often and attempt harder songs.
· Dedicate time to practice rather than occasionally play for fun
· Practice until my fingers bleed.

I have played my guitar more frequently and have learnt two new songs.
I have also set aside two nights a week to practice for at least 2 hours.

I practiced for several hours one night, leaving my fingers blistered.
The next night I practiced again until a finger began to bleed.

3. I’m tolerant of others, even if they are annoying, to a degree.

I intend to improve my tolerance, so that I can remain calm in the face of the annoying people I will have to interact with.
Target: To improve my tolerance to a level that I cannot be annoyed.
Action Points:
· Practice controlled breathing to maintain calm.
· Learn to rationalize annoyances and ignore them.

I have begun controlling my breathing and counting to ten any time I’m becoming annoyed, helping me to calm down.

I’ve improved my ability to block out annoyances by zoning out for the duration.
I am able to rationalize the annoyance and remind myself that it will end in a short period of time.

I have presented a powerpoint in class, further improving my tolerance by continuing with the presentation and blocking out the voices of any audience members who were talking.

Target: To improve my health by using a lower quantity of tobacco.

· Use as little tobacco as possible.
· Buy a vaporizer.

I have started mixing parsley with the tobacco on occasions when I smoke, meaning there is less tobacco in each cigarette.

I have become more considerate when communicating with others, taking the time to think about how my responses will impact the other person.

As a result of taking this into consideration before speaking I am considerably less sarcastic in conversation.
